Samsung Partners with Moneris on New Self-Service Payment Solution in Canada

Samsung Electronics Canada has partnered with Moneris Solutions Corporation to integrate a seamless payment method into its self-service Samsung Kiosk and broaden commerce solutions for merchants across Canada.

Employing modular functionality and compact design, the Samsung Kiosk provides a convenient self-service solution with the integration of Moneris payment terminals, offering improved contactless ordering and payment capabilities for businesses and customers, says the company.

“With the retail and food service industries continuing to transform, more businesses are adopting new technology solutions to meet and exceed changing consumer needs,” says Mary Peterson, Vice President, IT & Enterprise Solutions, Samsung Electronics Canada. “We are proud to partner with Moneris and deliver an intuitive self-service solution with our Samsung Kiosk. Together, we are able to help Canadian businesses service more customers with increased consistency, while expanding business opportunities.”

“Providing leading edge payment solutions, like unattended kiosks, for our merchants has become increasingly important in the past few years,” adds Matt Crawford, Vice President, Third Party Acquiring and Partnerships, Moneris. “As a market-leading electronics supplier, Samsung is known for its innovative design and technology. We’re proud to work with Samsung in delivering feature-rich and affordable kiosk solutions for merchants across Canada.”

Through this partnership, Moneris will also distribute the kiosk solution to several independent software vendors across Canada, including TakuLabs Ltd., Oliver POS, GRUBBRR, XPR POS and BIG Digital, among others.

First launched in 2021, the Samsung Kiosk is an all-in-one ordering and payment system that features an interactive display, speaker, printer, scanner, payment processor, and more. Suitable for businesses of any size, Samsung says the kiosk solution is a response to recent shifts in consumer behaviour and demands.
