There are Roku TVs, Android TVs, and other smart TVs based on proprietary manufacturer platforms. Now, TCL will be rolling out a new series of TVs called Google TV, first in the U.S. followed by other markets around the world.
TCL Google TVs will combine TCL display technologies, such as Mini-LED, 8K and QLED, with Google’s new entertainment experience that is aimed at helping you discover and access content more easily.
“We are excited to partner with TCL to bring Google TV to customers around the world. Google TV is a more helpful and delightful TV experience that helps users find the content they love,” said Shobana Radhakrishnan, Senior Engineering Director, Google TV during TCL’s press conference at virtual CES 2021.
TCL Google TVs bring together movies, shows, live TV, and other content from across apps and subscriptions and organizes them. It offers personalized recommendations; you can even ask Google to find movies and shows, answer questions, and control smart home devices using your voice.
More details will be revealed as Google TVs roll out this year.
