TCL has announced several new LED TV models, including a 115-inch QD-Mini LED TV, new Q class and S class TVs, and new soundbars to complement the video experience.
115-inch QD-Mini LED TV
The 115-inch QD-Mini LED TV is the Q Class QM89 TV model, which will serve as the new flagship in the line. It features 20,000 dimming zones controlled by TCL’s AiPQ ULTRA Processor. For audio, it includes a new Onkyo 6.2.2 channel speaker system.
The TV also features high brightness with up to 5,000 peak nits, QLED ULTRA for a higher colour gamut with more accurate colour, anti-glare screen, new NEXTGEN TV, and Wi-Fi 6. It also offers custom install capabilities.
The 115-inch TV will be available in Canada this summer with pricing TBA.
Q Series
TCL is further expanding the Q series line with new models in the QM7 and QM8 series. They feature over 5,000 dimming zones, up to 5,000 nits peak brightness, and QLED ULTRA with 97%+ of DCI-P3 colour gamut and 100% colour volume for more accurate colour.
TCL’s next gen QD-Mini LED combines self-developed Optical Technology with TCL’s advanced AiPQ Pro and ULTRA processing. Developed in TCL’s Pangu Laboratory is the advanced QD-Mini LED technology, including everything from design to materials, devices, components, and testing.
For 2024, TCL also offers three levels of enhanced TCL AiPQ Processing, with QD-Mini LED using the AiPQ PRO and AiPQ ULTRA versions. Key processing technology includes: AI Colour, AI Contrast with micro dimming allowing over 65,000 levels of granular Hi-bit LED brightness control, AI Clarity, intelligent resolution upscaling, and AI Motion.
TCL’s Q Class QM7 will be available in sizes ranging from 55″ up to 85″ models, while the QM8 will be available in sizes ranging from 65″ up to 98″ models in Canada this summer.
New models in the Q class line range from 43 inches up to the aforementioned 115-inch model. These employ the stylish FullView 360 thin metal bezel-less design, and custom install and hospitality mode capabilities. There are three new 98″ QLED TVs at the Q6, QM7, and aforementioned QM8 levels, advanced QD-Mini LED technology, and built-in multi-channel sound boasting new audio features like enhanced dialog mode and TV as centre channel mode.
TCL has both enhanced and expanded AiPQ Processing for 2024, including S Class for the first time, using the three levels of advanced TCL AiPQ Processing, all featuring AI Colour, AI Contrast, AI Clarity, and AI Motion – the TCL AiPQ Processor, the TCL AiPQ PRO Processor, and the TCL AiPQ ULTRA Processor.
TCL’s new Q Class Smart TV models boast Quantum Dot technology featuring UltraWide Color Gamut for enhanced QLED colour. The new Q65 boasts rich QLED PRO with improved colour accuracy and enhanced brightness, ensuring more colour volume. The High Brightness+ LED backlight produces 28% more brightness. The 85″ and new 98″ models have added a 120Hz panel refresh rate for the clearest possible fast motion, and Game Accelerator 240 for blistering fast 240 VRR Gaming.
Stepping up, the new Q68 QLED adds Full Array Local Dimming for enhanced contrast. The model is also armed with TCL’s new High Brightness PRO LED backlight, yielding up to 600 peak nits.
In 2024, TCL upgrades the Q7 to high-zone QD-Mini LED TV, becoming QM7. QD-Mini LED incorporates advanced optical technologies, developed by TCL, including the HEXA 6-in-1 LED chip for high brightness with fine light control, the UWA Ultra-Wide-Angle lens system for enhanced image uniformity, and ODR LED Technology with Optical Distance Reduced.
TCL’s QM7 is premium Mini LED with up to 1,500+ precisely controlled dimming zones for deep black levels, and a High Brightness ULTRA LED backlight with up to 2,400 nits peak, yielding a 20% increase in brightness over its predecessor.
This first QD-Mini LED series also features QLED ULTRA colour for up to 97%+ of DCI-P3, 100% colour volume, and enhanced colour accuracy, a 120Hz panel refresh rate, and HDR ULTRA with Dolby Vision IQ, all controlled by the step-up TCL AiPQ PRO processor and with IMAX Enhanced Certification.
QM7 also includes Game Accelerator 240 for up to 240 VRR gaming, Auto Game Mode (ALLM), Game Bar, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. In addition, there is a new Onkyo 2.1-channel speaker system with built-in subwoofer for more bass, and the new slim FullView 360 Design, now with a height adjustable pedestal stand.
Building on the features of TCL’s QM7, the flagship QM8 features new high-zone QD-Mini LED ULTRA with up to 5,000+ dimming zones, precise zone control using TCL’s AiPQ PRO processor, and the new High Brightness ULTIMATE LED backlight that delivers up to 5,000+ nits peak. That is twice the dimming zones and two and-a-half times the brightness than its predecessor.
The QM8 also features an Anti-Glare Screen, enhanced audio with new Onkyo 2.1.2 channel speaker system and built-in up-firing Dolby Atmos drivers, Wi-Fi 6, and NEXTGEN TV.
TCL’s Q Class Q6 will be available in sizes ranging from 43″ up to 98″ models; QM7 will be available in sizes ranging from 55″ up to 85″ models; QM8 will be available in sizes ranging from 65″ up to 98″ models. All models are arriving in Canada this summer.
S Class TVs
The S2 and S3 will carry over in 2024: S2 is 720p HD, while S3 is 1080p Full HD with HDR (HDR10 & HLG) for enhanced resolution and contrast. All models have Direct LED backlight with dynamic contrast, and employ a FullView metal bezel-less design. Many models also include a Voice Remote, Built-in Google Assistant, and Bluetooth Personal Audio.
TCL’s 2023 S4 is significantly enhanced for 2024, becoming the S5. The line features an up to 25% increase in brightness thanks to its new High Brightness LED backlight, and an Enhanced Color Gamut to ensure richer images. TCL is now including its advanced AiPQ Processor, a first in the S Class. Additionally, for the first time, 55″+ S Class models get a significant gaming upgrade with Game Accelerator 120 for 120 VRR Gaming.
Other new capabilities include HDR PRO+ with both Dolby Vision and HDR10+, Enhanced Dialog Mode, TV as centre channel mode, custom install capability with hospitality mode, and the new FullView 360 thin metal bezel-less design. There’s also Motion Rate 120 with MEMC, Dolby Atmos, DTS Virtual:X, Auto Game Mode (ALLM), Game Bar, and more.
TCL S Class S5 is available now in sizes ranging from 43″ up to 85″ models in Canada.
Soundbars
Complementing the video experience are new soundbars in the Q Class and S Class lines. TCL is adding Dolby Atmos technology to its entire line of full feature models. The S Class enhances home theatre setups in a simple way, while the Q Class sets itself apart with unique Ray-Danz technology that delivers a wide and enveloping sound field.
The S Class 2.0 and 2.1 channel soundbars will feature enhanced design and come with advanced features like Auto Room Calibration, the new TV as Center Channel Mode, and DTS Virtual:X. Two new Q Class sound bars will offer 5.1.2 and 7.1.4 channel audio solutions housed in an elegant design with audio enhancements built in such as tweeters, a centre channel speaker, side surround speakers, up-firing Atmos speakers, and Ray-Danz acoustic wave-guide reflectors.
TCL’s premium Q Class features Dolby Atmos. The Q75H is a 5.1.2 soundbar that features both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X with built-in side surround speakers. Other quality enhancing features include built-in tweeters that deliver precise, high-frequency sound to complement the powerful bass, a centre channel speaker, up-firing Atmos speakers for floor to ceiling sound, and the special Ray-Danz acoustic wave-guide reflectors for a super wide soundstage.
Building on the features of Q75H, TCL’s Q85H is a 7.1.4 soundbar adds wireless rear speakers, which also incorporate rear Dolby Atmos up-firing drivers. With Ray-Danz, side and rear surround, as well as front and rear Dolby Atmos drivers,
The new S Class soundbars include TCL’s S45H and S55H models that feature a new cosmetic design, upgraded with Dolby Atmos, Auto Room Calibration (previously only available in Q Class), and the new TV as Center Channel Mode. These models also include other key features such as DTS Virtual:X Virtual 3D Surround, HDMI with eARC, Bluetooth, TCL TV Ready capability, and are wall mountable.
TCL’s S45H is a 2.0 Dolby Atmos soundbar with a built-in bass reflex port for enhanced bass without a separate subwoofer, while the S55H adds a separate wireless subwoofer featuring a 5.5″ driver and bass boost technology providing deep, rich room filling tones.
The 2024 TCL Q Class and S Class sound bars will be available in Canada this summer.
