5-Element Sales & Marketing Inc., which works with brand like Sonance and Vantage Controls, has announced the appointment of two new individuals. Darren Jayne has joined the team as Technical Sales Representative for Ontario while Nicole Fisher will fill the newly created position of Specification Sales Manager.
Jayne’s appointment was actually announced just prior to CEDIA Expo in September 2023, but he only recently took his post. He took the last few months to wind down his own CI business, which served both the residential and light commercial markets. Beyond previously running his own company, Jayne has close to two decades of experience overall in the industry.
In his new position with 5-Element, Jayne will play an integral role in assisting dealers, specifiers, designers, and manufacturer partners with sales and specification support for the Ontario market. His previous position as a business owner has given him particular insight into the importance of both product capabilities and limitations.
“It’s amazing to add Darren to the 5-Element team, and with almost 20 years of business and install experience,” says Paul MacAloney, Principal, Owner, and President of 5-Element Sales & Marketing. “Darren’s in-the-field experience will be a great asset in providing valuable insight to our dealers working with our products on a project-by-project basis.”
When he isn’t working, Jayne spends his free time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys mountain biking, fishing, and snowmobiling.

Additionally, on January 2, 2024, Nicole Fisher joined the team as Specification Sales Manager. She previously worked on the manufacturer side serving as brand content manager at K-array USA. While there, she managed the social media and marketing initiatives, trade show presence, and more for the brand while working remotely from her homebase in Ontario. Prior to that, she also worked with Adamson System Engineering and as a project manager for an electrical contracting firm.
Fisher will fulfill her ambition and desire for a more customer-facing role with 5-Element in this newly created position. As Specification Sales Manager, sheshe will work with dealers, designers, architects, builders, and other key individuals.
“Nicole is the perfect addition to the growing 5-Element team,” adds MacAloney. “With her enthusiasm and previous work experience, she will be a huge asset in assisting dealers, designers, architects, et cetera with a design driven approach to technology in the space using our portfolio of products.”
When she isn’t working, Fisher loves singing karaoke (preferably ‘70s tunes) and attending live performances; or winding down with a cup of coffee, a good true crime documentary, and her furry friends by her side while pondering her next travel adventure.
