The Acer Chromebook 514 is the company’s latest laptop, powered by the new AMD Ryzen 5000 C-series processors based on AMD’s Zen 3 architecture and AMD Radeon graphics.
The Acer Chromebook Spin 514 (CP514-3H) comes equipped with a 14-inch Full HD multi-touch IPS display that is made with Corning Gorilla Glass and protected from scratches and dings. Along with the display’s 100% sRGB colour range and ultra-narrow 6.1mm side bezels.
It comes with a Full HD webcam with flare-reducing technology and dual microphones and two upward-facing speakers. A camera shutter protects privacy when calls and classes are done for students and business users, alike.
The laptop features military-grade MIL-STD 810H durability along with aluminum top and bottom covers. The convertible design features 360-degree hinges so the touchscreen display can be used in four different modes: display mode for presenting, tablet mode for entertainment, clamshell mode for keyboard input, and tent mode for small spaces, like on an airplane or in a local coffee shop. The all-day 10-hour battery life means it will last a full work or school day.
The Chromebook Spin 514 offers Wi-Fi 6 for reliable performance and connectivity, two USB Gen 2 Type-C ports, and optional HDMI for connecting to peripherals, charging devices and transferring data. Navigation is smooth and accurate using the durable Corning Gorilla Glass touchpad, says Acer, complemented by the optional backlit keyboard.
For enterprise users, the Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 514 features the business capabilities of Chrome OS.
Acer Chromebooks are built on Chrome OS, delivering fast boot times, ease of use, security, and longer battery life. They also support web-based apps as well as installed apps through Google Play.
