Today at CEDIA, security company Ring announced the Ring Dome Cam 4K, a security camera for small and mid-sized businesses, residential environments, and professional installers. The camera is designed for custom installation in commercial and residential settings.
Ring Dome Cam 4K is intended for locations such as retail stores, warehouses, offices, franchises, and residential interiors. The camera is priced at $299.99.
Key features include flexible power and connectivity through USB-C or PoE, with Dual-Band Wi-Fi or Ethernet connectivity, a compact, low-profile dome design with a tamper-resistant form factor for commercial and residential interiors and local storage backup that can preserve footage during temporary connectivity interruptions. An optional 24/7 continuous recording feature in 4K is available for businesses that require ongoing footage. The camera works with other Ring cameras and sensors.
Ring Dome Cam 4K includes Retinal 4K video and night vision. The dome design is intended to reduce glare from lens covers in environments with overhead lighting, skylights, or storefront glass.
Additional features include LED recording indicators, customizable privacy zones, and end-to-end encryption. Ring’s Virtual Security Guard subscription can respond to events in real time and request emergency services when needed.
