Galaxy AI Features are Coming to More Samsung Galaxy Devices

Samsung is expanding its Galaxy AI features to more Galaxy devices through a new One US 6.1 update. With this update, Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series phones will see innovative Galaxy AI features by the end of March.

TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics, says the company plans to bring the experience to over 100 million Galaxy users within 2024, and “continue to innovate ways to harness the unlimited possibilities of mobile AI.”

What features come with Galaxy AI? The AI-supported models will get access to Chat Assist for adjusting message tone and translating messages in 13 languages. They can also use Live Translate for voice and text translations for phone calls, and Interpreter for using the split-screen feature to generate live text translations for conversations on the fly.

Yes, that popular Circle to Search feature from Google will also be available on those phones, making it easy to search for items in images, posts, videos, and more, right within the current app by simply circling, scribbling on, or tapping it. Note Assist allows for creating formats, generating summaries, and translating notes, while Browsing Assist enables individuals to stay up to speed faster by generating comprehensive summaries of news articles. Transcript Assist can also easily transcribe meeting recordings and generate summaries and translations.

You will also be able to make use of the many photo editing tools with Galaxy AI. This includes Generative Edit whereby AI-supported devices can easily resize, reposition, or realign objects in photos to perfect a shot. Use Edit Suggestion to get recommendations on how to improve a photo, and Instant Slow-mo to generate additional frames for slow-motion videos.

Additionally, Galaxy AI includes a selection of AI-generated wallpapers.
