Morel Audio is introducing its new BIGGIE portable Bluetooth speaker, which is designed to be stylish, available in a range of colours, offer powerful sound enhanced by DSP technology, and come in at a relatively affordable price point.
The BIGGIE measures just 7 x 7 x 4.5 inches in size and wights just 5.7 lbs. It features Bluetooth 5.3 BLE technology for wirelessly connecting to a source device. At the heart of the unit is precision-crafted drive units, including a 4-inch custom-made woofer and Morel’s 25mm soft dome tweeter, which the company says ensures accurate bass and clear high frequencies.
The speaker features a two-way bass reflex system with 60-watt class D amplifiers, 45W woofer, and 15W tweeter and affords a frequency range of 40Hz to 20kHz and 95dB maximum loudness.
Advanced DSP technology optimizes sound quality, and the speaker includes Bluetooth 5.3 BLE, TWS pairing for stereo sound (an app to be released this year for connecting two), and a 20-hour battery life at normal volume via its rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The BIGGIE supports fast charging as well so you can get another four hours after a 20-minute charge or charge it to full in two hours.
Available in nine colours with a leather-like handle making it easy to move from room to room, the speaker has a 3.5mm auxiliary port for private listening as well.
