Nothing Ear 3 Earbuds Come With a Speakerphone Case

Nothing is aiming to innovate an already saturated category with its new Nothing Ear 3 true wireless earbuds that come with a charging case that doubles as a speakerphone thanks to built-in mics and a Talk button on the side.

When the buds are out of the case and connected to your phone, you can leverage the Super Mic system via the Talk button on the side of the case to use its microphones for phone calls as well as things like voice notes and memos from a connected Nothing phone.

Purportedly offering clearer audio than what you’d get from the buds themselves, there are some limitations. It won’t work with the camera apps in iPhone or Android devices, though you can use it with some third-party video apps like Blackmagic, which is something content creators might appreciate.

As for the buds themselves, they fit neatly in the mid-range category and feature the same semi-transparent design as other Nothing products. Available in black or white with clear plastic to show the inside circuitry, there are some metal reinforcements as well to add to the durability.

Audibly, they have 12mm drivers and offer support for spatial audio and LDAC Hi-Res, and include personalized EQ settings and hearing analysis, accessible via the partner app. You’ll get about 5.5 hours of listening per charge with ANC on (yes, they have noise cancelling) and 22 total when using the innovative case. The case also supports wireless charging.

The Nothing Ear 3 earbuds, which follow last year’s Nothing Ear (which were preceded by the Ear 1 and Ear 2), are available for US$179, on pre-order now with official release starting September 25, 2025.
