Just a year after OnePlus announced the OnePlus Watch 2 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the company is launching its third generation watch, the OnePlus Watch 3, which is coming to Canada, the U.S., and European markets on February 18, 2025.
Similar in design and feature set to the OnePlus Watch 2, which I reviewed last year, the OnePlus Watch 3 also improved on the experience in a number of important ways. As the new flagship, it comes in Emerald Titanium and Obsidian Titanium. You’ll get up to 16 days battery life in power saving mode and slightly longer up to five days (120 hours) in smart mode, the basic out-of-the-box mode, thanks to the increased battery capacity to 631mAh from 500mAh in the previous edition. Charge it for 10 minutes and you’ll get another full day of use.
Like the OnePlus 2, it uses a Dual Engine architecture and two chipsets: a Snapdragon W5 performance chipset to handle demanding tasks, like working tracking and apps, and a BES2800 MCU Efficiency chipset to run everything else in the background. It comes equipped with a OnePlus Silicon NanoStack Battery, the same technology used in the flagship OnePlus 13 smartphone, which the company says “significantly boosts energy density for long-lasting power within a slim design.” Along with reduced operational speed, this also dramatically reduces power consumption.
Additional upgrades include an optimized antenna for better power usage, and comprehensive WearOS optimization. You get the same stainless-steel casing but there’s now a titanium alloy bezel with PVD coating for greater durability. The 2D Sapphire Crystal display delivers a brighter screen and boasts impressive strength and longevity.
The Emerald Titanium version has a silver titanium bezel and a stainless-steel body, and comes with a green fluoro rubber strap with a stainless steel buckle. The Obsidian model features a black titanium bezel and stainless-steel body along with a black fluoro rubber strap with a stainless-steel buckle.
Further details of OnePlus Watch 3 will be revealed at launch, on February 18.
