Ooni Halo Core Spiral Mixer Helps You Make Pizza Dough & More

Ooni is known for its popular outdoor pizza ovens, including the Ooni Koda 2 Pro I reviewed last summer. Now, the company is moving to your indoor kitchen with the Ooni Halo Core Spiral mixer. Ooni Halo Core joins the larger Ooni Halo Pro, which launched last year. The Core is 25% smaller and 30% lighter, making it ideal for smaller kitchens and keeping it countertop.

Naturally, there’s a tie-in here, because what good is a pizza oven without a solid base pizza dough from which to build your pie before cooking it? Of course, this mixer isn’t just for pizza dough: it works like any other stand mixer for all your home baking, including whipping and beating. But at its core is dough.

The Ooni Halo Core uses the same spiral mixing technology used in professional kitchens. A Rotating Bowl works with a heavy-duty variable-speed Spiral Dough Hook and Removable Breaker Bar to create a dual-kneading action that stretches and develops dough for a stronger gluten structure, without generating excess heat. Along with a dough hook, there are attachments for whipping and beating.

As both a smaller and lighter as well as a more affordable option than the Ooni Halo Pro, the Ooni Halo Core has a dual-motor system that handles the full spectrum of dough hydrations without overheating, thanks to the inbuilt motor protection. It automatically adjusts speed during longer or more demanding mixes.

It delivers industrial scale mixing strength, with 20 adjustable speed levels (60-300 RPM) and the capacity to mix over six lbs of dough. That’s enough for 10 12-inch pizzas or three large sourdough loaves.

When you aren’t making dough, you can connect other stainless steel, dishwasher-safe attachments using the patent-pending Removable Breaker Bar. This includes the dual-geared whisk for light, aerated and glossy meringues, and an angled silicone-edge beater that eliminates the need for manual scraping with things like batters and frosting.

There’s dual-LED bowl illumination and the mixer comes with a clear splash guard with a directional spout, an LED speed indicator, and a silicon lid for proofing dough.

The Ooni Halo Core Spiral Mixer will be available starting August 4, 2026 in Polar White and Foundry Black for $799 in Canada.
