Satechi Reveals Updated Stand & Hub for Mac Mini at CES 2024

There are updated versions of the Satechi Stand & Hub for Mac mini and Mac Studio and Thunderbolt 4 Slim Hub Pro launching at CES 2024, both of which feature an NVMe SSD enclosure to expand connectivity options through a single cable for faster speeds and added storage.

The new Pro version of the Thunderbolt 4 Slim Hub is ideal for creative professionals, says Satechi, offering support for up to 40Gbps data transfer speeds and up to 8K/60Hz video output while delivering 96W of charging to the host device. The updated version also allows you to daisy-chain up to six devices at once and provides 32Gpbs native PCIe support for external GPUs and Thunderbolt-based SSDs.

Optimized to read both NVMe and M.2 SATA SSDs, the Stand & Hub for Mac mini and Mac Studio has an upgraded SSD enclosure that provides faster data transfer and increased storage capacity to help you maximize efficiency and minimize clutter. Driven by Gen 2 USB-C technology, the USB-C 3.1 and USB-A 3.1 ports allow you to transfer files, photos, and videos twice as fast with speeds up to 10Gbps. The SSD feature can also quickly and easily complete Time Machine backups on Macs, ensuring all valuable information is securely saved.

Crafted to feel like a natural extension of the Mac mini and Mac Studio, the Stand & Hub’s exclusive, patented design connects through a single cable on the back of the hub to optimize space and streamline your setup. It also features elevated mounting brackets to ensure a secure hold and carefully positioned vents to promote airflow and keep devices cool. An upgraded version of the Thunderbolt 4 Slim Hub that launched at CES 2023, the new Pro version is equipped with a larger 150W GaN power supply and capable of outputting up to 96W of power to the host device – a 60% increase from the 60W of its predecessor. The power supply uses the latest GaN technology, enabling the Thunderbolt 4 Slim Hub Pro to charge power-hungry devices while maintaining a small, lightweight profile.

The Satechi Thunderbolt 4 Slim Hub Pro uses advanced Thunderbolt 4 technology with three Thunderbolt 4 downstream ports that support up to 40Gbps of blazing-fast data transfers and robust video output for up to two 4K displays or one 8K display.
