Available as a free over-the-air update to the SVS Subwoofer Control App, SVS Auto EQ automatically optimizes in-room subwoofer performance using a smartphone microphone or optional external microphone, sold separately, together with proprietary SVS equalization firmware.
SVS Auto EQ addresses the biggest barrier to reference-level subwoofer performance, that being room acoustics. In a few guided steps, it analyzes in-room frequency response, applies precise equalization, manages room gain, and shapes output across multiple listening positions. The result is cleaner, tighter, more accurate bass that is evenly distributed throughout the listening area.
The key benefit to auto-calibration is that there is no manual tuning and no complicated setup.

SVS Auto EQ improves both 2-channel music and home theater systems by correcting common acoustic issues including peaks, nulls, and uneven bass response that can be caused by room characteristics and subwoofer placement.

SVS Auto EQ is powered by a 295 MHz Analog Devices DSP, the most powerful and sophisticated processor SVS has deployed in a home subwoofer. In addition to enabling new calibration features, the DSP helps SVS R|Evolution subwoofers command a room with effortless authority, expand tuning and control options, manage thermal performance, and regulate current flow to the motor with precision.
Advanced digital audio processing and premium DACs with more than 120 dB signal-to-noise ratio provide exceptional headroom, lower noise, and high-fidelity performance, producing low-frequency output that is deeper, louder, clean, fast, and musically accurate.
SVS Auto EQ is available now as an over-the-air update for SVS R|Evolution subwoofers through the SVS Subwoofer Control App, available free on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Amazon Appstore. The recently launched 3000 Micro R|Evolution subwoofer will receive the feature within the next month.
SVS Auto EQ requires no specialized knowledge or manual tuning. Users follow step-by-step instructions in the SVS Subwoofer Control Smartphone App to take a series of measurements and complete calibration in minutes.
