worldmobile.com Launches eSIM with Unlimited Data Worldwide

worldmobile.com has launched an eSIM that it purports to offer unlimited data worldwide.

The company, which has been named an ITB Innovator 2025 by ITB Berlin, says the eSIM works in 120+ destinations around the world, and the unlimited data option in 80, allowing you to connect via both the 5G and 4G networks to up to 250 different networks.

It automatically connects to the best available local network to provide high-speed connectivity, no matter where you are. Once purchased, the eSIM has a five-year validity so you can re-use the same eSIM for multiple trips.

How Much Does It Cost?

The big question, of course, is how much does it cost? Plans start at US$9.90 for three days of use and go up from there. Spend US$19.90 for seven days, US$29.90 for 15 day, and $39.90 for 30 days. The plan auto-starts once you land abroad and remains active for the five-year period once you turn it on. Additionally, all the seven day and above plans include 20 International call minutes, along with 24/7 multilingual customer support.

There are no recurring fees: it’s just a one-time payment. However, the days you purchase need to be topped up once they are all used. Also, as noted, only 80 major destinations include unlimited data, including Asia, Australia, Canada, Cancun, Europe, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Russia, and others.

Is It A Good Deal?

Examining the costing, worldmobile.com offers great peace-of-mind that you won’t have to top up data. But the pricing still falls in line with competitors that offer pretty huge data buckets you likely wouldn’t go over anyway. $20 for a week-long trip to Japan, for example, compares to a provide like Jetpac that charges half that for 5GB you can use for up to 30 days. Even if you only need a week, you’re still coming out ahead. It would take a lot to crack 5GB in a single week unless you were using it a lot for navigation, downloading high-res content, streaming music and video, and more. With that said, there’s also the advantage of being able to use the same eSIM for five years and not worrying about top-ups.

How Does It Work For The Other Countries That Don’t Support Unlimited?

What about other countries? The worldmobile.com SIM works much the same way as others whereby you have to purchase a data bucket. You can choose from 1GB for three days, 2GB for seven days, 3GB for 15 days, and 4GB for 30 days for the same aforementioned prices as noted above for the same time periods.

That’s in line with other eSIM providers, so you can stick with worldmobile.com if you are traveling to one of the 40 destinations that worldmobile.com doesn’t cover with unlimited data. But you might find it worthwhile to shop around in this instance with other providers like Jetpac or Always Mobile. To compare, choosing Jamaica as the destination (one of the countries that doesn’t support worldmobile.com’s unlimited offering) Jetpac plans include 1GB for four days for US$6, 3GB for seven days for US$19, and 5GB for 30 days for US$34 (on sale at the time of this writing for US$30). So you’re getting a smidge more for less with that company.

Some of the countries and regions that don’t support unlimited data include Jamaica, The Bahamas, Bermuda, Caribbean, Egypt, Turks and Caicos, and Ukraine. You can see the list list on the Destinations page of the website.

The worldmobile.com eSIM works with most recent devices that support eSIMs, including iPhone 11 and up models and Samsung S20 and up models.
