Looking to celebrate mom? It might be your own mother, spouse grandmother, even daughter or friend. Whomever the special lady is in your life, she deserves to be pampered for Mother’s Day which (mark your calendars) is on Sunday, May 11, 2025. Not sure what to get? We have a list of wonderful tech gift ideas to consider in this Mother’s Day Gift Guide.
Noise Luna Smart Ring

I reviewed the Noise Luna Smart Ring earlier this year and absolutely love it. From all the data it collects to the useful notifications to keep me apprised of my vitals and stats, and the favourable battery life, it’s one of the best smart rings I have tried to date. While this model has since been replaced by a new version, you still get AI-driven insights, a series of sensors including PPG, skin temperature, and accelerometer. The best part? There’s no subscription. The ring itself comes in Sunlit Gold, Rose Gold, Stardust Silver, Lunar Black, or Midnight Black for US$300.
Google Pixel 9a Smartphone

When it comes to intuitive, long-lasting, powerful Android phones for less, Google’s Pixel line is at the top of the list. You get tons of value for dollar with premium features for an affordable price. The Pixel 9a is the budget option in the new line starting at $679, yet it has virtually all the same features as the Pixel 9. What are you missing? The Pixel 9 has better cameras, more RAM, and faster charging. In the grand scheme of things, however, the Pixel 9a is still a slick device, especially for the price.
You get Google Gemini integration and all the photo editing features mom could possibly want, like the incredibly useful Add Me feature. Considering moms are notoriously the ones behind the camera, never getting into the picture, they’re the perfect demographic for such this feature that lets you take two photos swapping out people so everyone is in the pic. After reviewing this phone, I was thoroughly impressed with its performance, battery life (it has the biggest battery of any Pixel device to date), and cool Gemini features that moms will love.
Equipped with a 6.3-inch Actua display, the Pixel 9a comes in Obsidian, Porcelain, Iris, or Peony.
Apple MacBook Air M4

Is mom in need of a laptop upgrade? Consider spoiling her with the new MacBook Air M4 and get it in the new sky blue finish. She’ll get up to 18 hours of battery life per charge so it can keep up with her day, a 12MP Center Stage camera for video calls and meetings, and a compact 13- or 15-inch size screen. If she’s mostly using it at home, go with the larger screen, though both are pretty lightweight. Plus, Apple Intelligence is included so mom can get all the help she needs with her most important tasks. This blazing fast computer is less than half an inch thin and has a 3.5mm headphone jack when mom wants to enjoy private listening. Pricing starts at $1,399.
Cricut Explore 4 Smart Cutting Machine

If mom loves to create, consider getting her the Cricut Explore 4 smart cutting machine. Available in either Seashell or Sage (the latter finish is exclusive to Michaels), it comes with Smart Vinyl, Cardstock, Smart Iron-on, Transfer Tape, Mini Weeder, and Light Grip Machine Mat materials – enough to complete her first 10 projects. Speed is up to two times faster than the previous generation if she already owns it, and she’ll love the improved user experience in Design Space.
For moms who are just learning to ropes, don’t worry: this model features an updated, beginner-friendly experience for machine setup and learning. That includes a First Project tutorial with enhanced customization and an introduction to the Design, Cut, and Assemble stages of using a Cricut machine, as well as more beginner-level project options.
At US$250, it’s the perfect new hobby for mom, or a great addition to her existing set-up if she already loves creating at home.
DJI Osmo Mobile 7 Series Phone Gimbal

Speaking of creator moms, if she loves making content to share via social media, she’ll appreciate the DJI Osmo Mobile 7 Series phone gimbal, featuring seventh-generation DJI stabilization technology and ActiveTrack 7.0 technology. The Osmo Mobile 7P model features a more powerful three-axis smartphone stabilizer that maintains the lightweight, portable, and robust tracking capabilities of the Osmo Mobile 6. With the new Multifunctional Module, mom can easily track subjects, like her kids. It includes integrated light control with multiple colour temperature and brightness levels. When the Multifunctional Module functions as a microphone receiver, its USB-C port can be connected to your phone to deliver high-quality audio transmission while also providing extra power. It is also easy to set up thanks to the quick one-step unfolding, integrated extension rod, and built-in tripod.
The Osmo Mobile 7 is ultra lightweight at just 10 ounces or 300 grams with a more compact design and entry-level price. It also allows for quick unfolding, a built-in tripod, one-step storage, and can support the Multifunctional Module (sold separately). The Osmo Mobile 7P retails for US$149 and the Osmo Mobile 7 for US$89. Consider getting her accessories, too, like the DJI OM Magnetic Quick-Release Mount, DJI Mic Mini Transmitter, DJI OM 7 Series Tracking Kit, and DJI OM Grip Tripod.
OnePlus Watch 3 Smartwatch

Just a year after OnePlus announced the OnePlus Watch 2 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the OnePlus Watch 3 is now here. Similar in design and feature set to the OnePlus Watch 2, which I reviewed last year, the OnePlus Watch 3 improves on the experience in a number of important ways, as I found in my review of the Watch 3. As the new flagship, it comes in Emerald Titanium and Obsidian Titanium. You’ll get up to 16 days battery life in power saving mode and up to five days (120 hours) in smart mode, the basic out-of-the-box mode. This is thanks to the increased battery capacity to 631mAh from 500mAh in the previous edition. Charge it for 10 minutes and you’ll get another full day of use.
Like the OnePlus 2, it uses a Dual Engine architecture and two chipsets: a Snapdragon W5 performance chipset to handle demanding tasks, like working tracking and apps, and a BES2800 MCU Efficiency chipset to run everything else in the background. Mom will love that it’s durable, stylish, lightweight, and lasts so, so long. Moms are busy enough as it is, after all. The last thing they need is a smartwatch they have to charge every day.
The Emerald Titanium version has a silver titanium bezel and a stainless-steel body and comes with a green fluoro rubber strap with a stainless steel buckle. The Obsidian model features a black titanium bezel and stainless-steel body along with a black fluoro rubber strap with a stainless-steel buckle. Get it for $450.
Renpho 3 Rosé Eye Massager

Does mom suffer from headaches often? If so, or even if she could just do with some quiet “me time,” she might love a Renpho Eyeris 3 Rosé eye massager. I tried one of these for a few minutes at CES 2025 earlier this year and felt myself swept away from the hustle and bustle of the show, even if it was just for a brief moment. I didn’t want to take them off! If they could do that in such a loud and crowded setting, imagine mom slinking into bed or lying back on the couch to enjoy this at home for 15 minutes? Talk about daily rejuvenation! It not only massages the surrounding areas of your eyes but also provides heat and cooling, which can help with tiredness and migraine relief. It is compatible with voice control and offers three massage modes. Get it for $119, available in Canada through Erikson Consumer.
Nikon Coolpix P1100 Compact Digital Camera

If mom wants a dedicated device for snapping pics versus just using her phone, consider the Nikon Coolpix P1100 compact digital camera, which features a 125x optical super-telephoto zoom so she can get up close to the action (think the kids’ soccer game or landmarks on vacation) and plenty of creative features to create photos and videos from extreme distances. The camera features Dual Detect Optical VR, which achieves a level of vibration reduction equivalent to 4.0 stops at the centre of the frame, effectively suppressing camera shake when handheld shooting. It can also capture 4K UHD/30p and superlapse movie recordings, helping you make creative videos of nature and the night sky.
Moms will especially like the Fireworks option that reduces instances of blown-out highlights that often occur when shooting long exposures. This makes it easier to capture clear scenes of fireworks displays in which the brightness of the foreground or the background differs. It comes with a 3.2-inch TFT LCD Vari-angle monitor with a wide viewing angle, making it easy to compose handheld or on a tripod. Get it for an MSRP of $1,450.
Casetify Carry-On Luggage

I’ll preface this by saying that this carry-on suitcase is for moms who are comfortable packing light, or who want to use it for day or overnight trips. It doesn’t fit as much as some other expandable carry-ons you might come across, but it has some features working moms will love. There’s the tech pocket that can hold all the necessary cables, chargers, adapters, even small devices, organizing them away from clothing and toiletries (and keeping them out of mom’s purse). There’s Bounce bumpers on the corners that add extra protection. There’s the 360° wheels for easily navigating through the airport. What makes it great for gifting is that you can personalize the design, even add monogramming on the side. Get it with mom’s initials, maybe even an “143” for “I Love You” or numbers that correspond with a special date. I reviewed this suitcase, stuffing it with outfits, toiletries, and more, for a four-day trip to New York and found that it’s both stylish and durable.
Onyx Boox Note Max E-Ink Tablet

Encourage mom’s love of reading with the Onyx Boox Note Max, a 13.3-inch tablet with a monochrome E Ink display that she can use for reading without eye strain thanks to the 300 ppi ePaper display and no front light. She can also view PDFs, take notes, and sketch ideas while lounging by the pool. Powered by a 2.8GHz octa-core processor and with 6GB RAM, she’ll get smooth, lag-free operation thanks to Boox Super Refresh (BSR) technology. If she wants to do more, it does run on Android so she can download apps from the Google Play Store. It sells for US$650 and even works with an optional keyboard cover.
Apple Fitness+ Subscription

Especially if mom owns an Apple Watch, get her a subscription to Apple Fitness+ so she can choose from tons of workouts, set-up her own programs, and work towards her fitness goals. New in 2025 are lots of exciting programs for strength, yoga, and even pickleball. If mom is a runner, there’s a new collaboration with Strava. Whether mom is into strength training, pilates, even kickboxing, she’ll find great workouts to follow and easily track them on the Watch while following along on a big screen via Apple AirPlay or Apple TV. It’s $13/mo. or $100/yr. if you’re getting it on its own. Maybe consider getting mom a new Apple Watch if she has an older model, like the Apple Watch Series 10, which I reviewed late last year, since it comes with a free three-month trial period to Apple Fitness+. You can also upgrade your family to Apple One Premier which allows you to share services with up to five family members, including mom. Then you guys can work out together!
