Moms. They work hard. They sacrifice for everyone else before themselves. And they deserve some downtime. If you’re looking for the perfect gift for mom, we have you covered. For all types of moms, from new moms to working moms and retired grandparents, these tech gifts will delight.
Renpho Eye Massager

If you have, know, or are a mom who is near or at middle age, you know the awful feeling of getting constant headaches. A Renpho eye massager, which range in price from $100 to $170, available through Erikson Consumer) is a thoughtful gift. Offering relaxation and relief from eye strain, which can maybe help you calm that headache that feels like it’s coming on, it’s comfortable to wear over the eyes, helping you fall into a blissful state of relaxation. It’s like a span experience at home, perfect for mom to pop on after a long day of work or chores (or both!) With Bluetooth, you can also connect it wirelessly to a phone and listen to tunes or calming white noise.
The Pretty Pickleball Company Paddle

Has mom picked up pickleball as her latest hobby? She’ll love showing up to the court with a fancy new paddle from The Pretty Pickleball Company. With a variety of feminine designs, in The Royal Collection like The Fairest Paddle, The Stroke of Midnight, and The Sleeping Rose, each finished in light colours with enticing designs to delight mom. Selling for US$225 each, they aren’t that far off from other quality paddles you might find. Each one has a two-sided design and is made from Toray T700 carbon fibre that is USA Pickleball Approved. They are 14mm thin with a polypropylene honeycomb core and a large “sweet spot.” The 4.17-inch circumference is specifically designed for smaller ladies’ hands while the grip handle is wrapped in custom vegan leather that absorbs sweat.
LEGO Botanical Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet

Flowers that never die and require no maintenance? We’re in! So, there’s a catch with this one: it won’t be available in Canada until January 1, 2025. But it’s worth mentioning as the perfect gift for mom for any occasion. The intricate LEGO Botanicals sets are stunning displays that mom (and especially grandma) will display with pride, letting everyone know their child or grandchild got it for them. The catch is you need to unbox and put it together before gifting it. (Slap a bow and hand deliver to ensure it remains intact). One of the prettiest options is the LEGO Botanicals Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet (set 10342). It comes with 15 flower stems and foliage, including daises, cornflowers, eucalyptus, elderflowers, roses, ranunculus, cymbidium orchids, a waterlily dahlia, and a campanula. Mom will love trying to identify each flower, or learning about them all with you as you explore the box and contents. The stems are all adjustable, too, so you can make the arrangement totally bespoke, and mom can adjust for a different look.
Women’s Toronto Maple Leafs Fanatics Fleece Pullover Hoodie

Ok, so this one is limited to moms who live in Toronto and are Leafs fans (or moms elsewhere who stick by the team through thick and thin). The Toronto Maple Leafs fleece pullover hoodie will keep her warm and cozy while showing off her fandom during the game. Of course, if you manage to snag tickets, she’ll be wearing it to the game, too! It comes with fleece lining and a rounded hem so it’s stylish, too. It will easily become mom’s favourite sweater and she’ll think of you anytime she wears it, whether they win or lose.
Atom Studios iPhone 16 Case

Did mom just upgrade to the new iPhone 16 Pro? If so, she’ll need a fab case to protect it. Get her something out of the ordinary with the Atom Studios Split Wood Fiber MagSafe Case. It looks stunning but it’s not just about aesthetics: this case boasts a dual-material design made of tough aluminum and eco wood fibre to offer 10-foot drop protection. With 1mm raised edges and ultra-soft microfibre lining inside, you get 360° protection. Did we mention it’s also infused with soothing eucalyptus oil? As a MagSafe compatible case, she can still wirelessly charge her phone as well. Choose from natural or olive finish; Atom Studios cases are available in Canada through Erikson Consumer.
Samsung Galaxy Ring

If mom has a Samsung Galaxy smartphone, the perfect pairing is the Samsung Galaxy Ring, which she can use to track her health and wellness either instead of or in addition to a Samsung Galaxy smartwatch. Available for $550, you may have to trick mom into trying one on from a sizing kit before committing to the right size (they don’t necessarily follow standard ring sizes). Once confirmed, get her one of these beauties she can use to track her health, wellness, and activities 24/7, all from a slick ring worn on her index finger. From sleep analysis to cycle tracking, skin temperature, and more, this is a feature-rich smart ring.
KitchenAid Design Series Stand Mixers

If mom loves to cook and especially bake, she’ll want a stand mixer. If she’s still using the same one she has been using for the last 20 years, so might love it. But she will love something new even more. KitchenAid is among the best brands when it comes to stand mixers, and the new Design Series will wow her not only for how it works but also how it looks. Available in an elegant deep forest green finish, it comes with a walnut wood bowl. It boasts all the same benefits you get with a KitchenAid stand mixer, include the power and accessories to everything from knead dough to mix up batter for a batch of cookies or whip up cream for a holiday pie. Get it for $1,000.
BOOX Go6 Mini eReader

Looking for something for mom that she can use to read her favourite novels but don’t want a bright tablet that might be too distracting? Check out the BOOX Go6 mini eReader, which delivers a paper-like experience with Android OS and special reading features. Available for US$150, the BOOX Go 6 has a 6” (1,448 x 1,072) HD Carta 1300 glass capacitive touch screen with flat cover lens, the latest generation of E Ink display technology. Google Pixel Buds Pro 2

The Google Pixel Buds are still one of my favourite earbuds and the latest version come with Google’s custom-designed Tensor A1 chip, which provides improved audio performance and noise cancellation as well as Google AI. With the new twist-to-adjust stabilizer, the earbuds stay put while still being comfortable to wear. They also come with four different sized eartips. Noise cancellation is twice as strong with Tensor A1. When ANC is enabled, you get up to eight hours of battery life on the Buds and 30 hours with the case. Charge them in the case for 15 minutes for up to three hours of extra battery life. What about Gemini? Mom can enjoy a hands-free virtual AI assistant from the buds, even when the phone is locked and in your pocket. With Gemini Live, Pixel Buds Pro 2 provides a mobile conversational experience that uses speech technology to let you have extended conversations with Gemini. Pixel Buds Pro 2 come in Porcelain, Hazel, Peony, and Wintergreen for $299.
Google Pixel 9 Smartphone

Also in the Google Pixel line, the Google Pixel 9 smartphone is a great option for mom who needs a premium phone that doesn’t come in at a premium price. As the entry-level phone in the line, it will suit most mom’s needs just fine for communicating, social media, taking fabulous photos and videos (with some awesome editing features like Best Take), casual gaming, video viewing, and more. It’s powered by the new Google Tensor G4 chip and an impressive 12GB RAM. Durable with a bright display mom can read just as easily outdoors in bright sunlight as she can indoors, the phone also boasts long battery life. Enjoy AI features and useful features like Clear Calling, Call Notes, and Satellite SOS (U.S. only right now) for contact emergency responders in the event of an emergency, even without cellular service. The starting price is $1,099, but you get a lot of bang for this buck.
OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro True Wireless Earbuds

For the mom who needs a good back-up pair of earbuds, the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro are a solid option. Available for just $200, they still boast premium features, like hybrid adaptive ANC to provide good noise cancellation across an ultra-wide frequency range. Affording up to 44 hours of battery life with the charging case and the latest Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro also feature Crystal Clear call technology enhanced by a triple-microphone (one digital and two analog) stereo setup and proprietary algorithms. OnePlus’ Master EQ features three modes – Balanced, Serenade, and Bass. The buds are IP55 water and dust resistant and come encased in a pebble-shaped vertical case with a matte finish and metallic accents. Get them for mom in Starry Black or Soft Jade.
Oura Ring 4 Smart Ring

While there are a lot of new smart rings coming to market this year, Oura Ring remains the most known and popular. The brand launched a new one in the new Oura Ring 4, which includes new Smart Sensing technology that works with research-grade sensors to adapt to your finger and deliver more accurate and continuous data. Employing a lightweight, all-titanium design, it has recessed sensors for a smooth interior shape and thinner profile, which Oura says makes it more comfortable for 24/7 wear. It also comes in an expanded range of 12 sizes (4-15), so if mom has extra slim or thick fingers, this will be the smart ring for her. It tracks everything from stress to women’s health and heart health and will soon also track metabolic health. Available in Brushed Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, Stealth, and an updated Black finish that features a glossy, tungsten PVD coating for improved durability and a deeper black look, it starts at $470. You’ll also need to sign up for a membership for mom, but you can pre-pay for the year for $90 then renew next Christmas if mom likes it. (Alternatively, pay $8/mo.; the ring comes with the first month free).
Cobra SC 250R Dash Cam

Don’t just buy this for mom, set it up in her car to surprise her. The dash cam can capture high-definition video as well as provide driver assistance alerts. It has features like Trip Clips for capturing timelapse recordings of scenic drives to share with family and friends; and Parking Live View, giving mom the option to monitor surroundings and activity when the vehicle is parked. The Drive Smarter app provides shared alerts from nearby radar and laser detectors, as well as red light and speed camera locations. Cobra dash cams also offer exclusive Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. With a front and rear-view camera, it offers 4K video, cloud video management, heads-up navigation, emergency mayday notifications, and remote live view. Get it for US$260.
Apple iPad Pro Tablet

Help mom enjoy that second screen experience while she’s watching TV even more with a larger-screened tablet, like the Apple iPad Pro. Equipped with a 13-inch screen, she can use it in hand with her fingers or an Apple Pencil or add the folio and Magic Keyboard and pop it open at the local coffee shop to get some work done in the go. There’s a smaller 11-inch model if preferred. Both can run AI features, boast all-day batteries, and are equally great for both productivity and entertainment. The 13-inch model starts at $1,099 and the 11-inch at $799, and both come in blue, purple, starlight, or space grey. Want something smaller? Check out the new Apple iPad mini that sports an 8.3-inch screen, A17 Pro chip, and Apple Intelligence features.
OnePlus Watch 2R

If mom has an Android phone, especially a OnePlus phone, get her the OnePlus Watch 2R. As the cheaper and lighter version of the brand’s new smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch 2 that I reviewed earlier this year, this one will fit comfortably on her wrist and provides all the same benefits. This includes battery optimization with a dual power set-up whereby it uses one processor for background activities and one for more intense ones, like workout tracking. This means the watch lasts for a ridiculously long time per charge. Rugged, offering tons of workout modes, app access, and customization of the look, the OnePlus Watch 2R is just $270, a ridiculously low price for what you get.
BEIS Convertible Mini Weekender Bag

I have now taken this bag on multiple trips and it works like a dream. It fits a ton of stuff, including a laptop, toiletries, extra clothing, charging cables, headphones, and more. The dedicated zipper bottom compartment is perfect for extra shoes (as a size 8.5-9, I can only fit two pairs max if they are flexible, but someone with a size 6 or 7 foot might be able to fit up to three). Technically this bag is too big to meet the carry-on requirements. But it does indeed fit under the seat (you’ll likely have to remove the laptop). Worst case, you’re forced to gate check your carry-on luggage. But so far, I have been able to take both on, luggage in the overhead bin and thus bag under the seat. It’s super stylish, too, and comes in tons of cool colours mom will love. I opted for basic black, but if mom has a bold fashion sense, go for something like atlas pink, or if she loves fall tones, consider maple.
Laifen SE High-Speed Hair Dryer

I have been using a Laifen hair dryer for the past several months and love it. Not only does it have a simple, space-saving T-shaped design that will remind you of that other premium hair dryer that comes with a heftier price tag, it’s also pretty stylish overall. Plus, it works well, providing sufficient heat to quick-dry my very long and curly hair. I can dry my entire head in five or so minutes, thanks to the 105,000rpm brushless motor. The temperature cycling mode protects your hair from heat damage while the 3-LED ring shows you the temperature settings. There are two magnetic nozzles included: a diffuser for curly hair and a standard one for styling straight hair.
Netflix Subscription

As the viral Saturday Night Live (SNL) sketch suggested, women love their “murder shows,” and when it comes to true crime, Netflix can’t be beat. The streaming service has tons of fabulous true crime shows, from Mindhunter to Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, The Menendez Brothers, Unsolved Mysteries, Lover, Stalker, Killer, Worst Roommate Ever, and more. Plus, there are reality shows like Love is Blind mom will want to watch once everyone is in bed and relentlessly text her girlfriends about. Sign mom up for a year for the standard plan with ads for $84 (she should get access to most if not all of these as Netflix originals but won’t get access to all content) or go all out with a top-tier subscription for $252 for the year. If you have Netflix at home, add her to your account as a surprise and pay for her access through your bill for an additional $8/mo. or $96 for the year.
